What we've achieved

With the help of our community and supporters, more than 50 Residential Food Gardens, 30 Compost Bays, 2 School Gardens, and one Hauora have been established. We also have several schools and daycare centers awaiting funding for their foodscape projects.

Expanding on the gardens we have already established, our vision is to create more spaces where children and communities across New Zealand can grow fresh, nourishing kai and reconnect with the land.

Our recent school installation

Te Puna Primary school

It's an honor to share the completion of the Te Puna Primary School Growing Project, made possible entirely through sponsorship. Because of this support, the school now has two large raised garden beds where students can learn, grow, and enjoy nutrient-dense kai right outside their new classroom/kitchen.

Every detail, from the sturdy timber beds to the hidden timed irrigation system, was designed to ensure these gardens thrive long after the project is complete.

Your donation helps create these lasting spaces where children can connect with nature, learn valuable skills, and grow healthy food for years to come.

Frequently asked questions

Still curious? Drop us a line at kiaora@letsgrowhome.co.nz and we'll help tailor the perfect contribution.

Are donations tax deductible?

Tax subsidies may apply for eligible contributions. We'll send you a receipt for any financial koha over $5 so you can claim eligible tax credits.

Can I volunteer instead of giving money?

We host edible backyard days, native planting days, and soil building bees. Pop us an email with Volunteer in the subject line and we'll invite you to the next working bee.

Who receives the funding from the koha contributions?

We’re currently partnering with schools and community spaces to create edible backyards. Our teams are ready to grow, but we need additional funding to complete more projects. We share updates through our fortnightly newsletter, highlighting recent installations and upcoming work. If you’d like your contribution to support a specific project, just let us know and we’ll make sure your funds go directly to it.

Let's sow abundance for generations to come

Thank you for believing in regenerative futures. Your koha moves us closer to resilient, delicious, self-sustaining neighbourhoods.
